Living on the Central Coast boasts many benefits. One of the best benefits is that it’s a short, beautiful road trip to Big Sur, CA. If you’ve ever been to Big Sur, coming from the North or the South, you know the drive is part of the journey and some of the best finds are stopping for photo ops or beach explorations. Hello Darlings! Last time I wrote was post-Thanksgiving…Oopsy. Since then I have come and gone to Tulum, Mexico, which was perfect and I will post about it soon. But since Christmas is RIGHT around the corner, I thought I would share some Christmas touches around my house as well as my cards I decided to do this year. Continue reading
Nothing says summer like a trip to your State or local County fair! This past weekend, the California Mid-State Fair wrapped up it’s 69th year running. Although I’ve only attended it the past 4 years, this fair is always a wide-spread, event filled, bag o’ fun! I have tried to make it a point to go every year that I have lived on the Central Coast. String Art is becoming more and more prevalent in décor. From coffee shops, consignment stores and Free People storefronts, the string art trend is growing. Actually, one of my very first posts here on Bloom and Birch was a DIY String Art project – one of my faves to this day. My friend recently had a baby and they wanted to wait until birth for the gender reveal. String art is actually quite easy if you have the necessary tools, time and patience!
Please don’t judge that this is my first post of the New Year…(Insert shocked emoji face). I know, horrible of me. Time seems to be flying by already this year – can you believe it is mid-March!? Speaking of March – it is officially National Nutrition Month! I guess it makes sense, seeing that March is probably when the New Year resolutions of working out and clean eating start to diminish. Enter – National Nutrition Month – where people have another reason for motivation to take their bodies and health into thoughtful consideration. Continue reading
