Chunky Cable-Knit Sweater

IMG_2605This sweater. This sweater has seen it all. Frigid mountains, hot countrysides and blustery beaches. I’ve been able to wear it to a myriad of events with ranging weather conditions. The neutral color allows it to be paired with endless items and the baggy shape drapes heavy and attractively. Here, it’s paired with a tight fitting cotton skirt to show off the  draping feature of the sweater. Continue reading

Santa Barbara by Train

IMG_1200Last Friday, we took a wonderful little day trip down to Santa Barbara by way of the Amtrak Surfliner. It was semi-spontaneous, a lot of fun, romantic and a well-rounded, perfect Santa Barbara day. We shopped, ate, sipped on wine at outside cafés, walked around and shopped some more. Continue reading

Chasing Wildflowers

IMG_0945‘Tis the season for wildflower hunting! This year has brought some pretty amazing scenes around the county. So, when Easter was quickly approaching with no plans set in place, I decided it would be the perfect day for a Sunday drive to chase wildflowers. Continue reading

Easter Best with Free People

Fair Fun

IMG_8279

Nothing says summer like a trip to your State or local County fair! This past weekend, the California Mid-State Fair wrapped up it’s 69th year running. Although I’ve only attended it the past 4 years, this fair is always a wide-spread, event filled, bag o’ fun! I have tried to make it a point to go every year that I have lived on the Central Coast. Aside from getting a fill of country, boot-wearing fun, it always provides good laughs, plenty of people watching, and special memories. Continue reading
