Chasing Wildflowers

IMG_0945‘Tis the season for wildflower hunting! This year has brought some pretty amazing scenes around the county. So, when Easter was quickly approaching with no plans set in place, I decided it would be the perfect day for a Sunday drive to chase wildflowers. As a bonus, it ended up being an extra special day as it was our six month anniversary. We decided to pack a picnic with sparkling wine, rosé, with robins eggs for dessert (because you need classic Easter candies on Easter, of course). We drove out of town about an hour to a small highway that cuts through a valley and is known for its wildflowers in early Spring. We walked into the fields and found a perfectly quaint spot under an old oak tree. It was a lovely day full of sunshine, flowers, love, and good food and wine. I wore one of my favorite Free People dresses as it is playful, SO comfortable, and fun to frolic (around fields) in. I paired it with a light scarf and Toms wedges.WARNING: This post contains a lot of photos! IMG_0806{Free People ‘slip’ dress, Toms wedges, Lucky Brand scarf, Ralph Lauren sunglasses}IMG_0877 (1)IMG_0900IMG_0815IMG_0846IMG_0847 (1){our Easter/anniversary cards to each other – do you guys like my bunny rendering?}IMG_0851 (1)IMG_0856{what kind of CA picnic doesn’t include converse?} IMG_0917 (1)IMG_0926 (1)IMG_0971IMG_0982IMG_1027IMG_1030

I am excited to picnic more this Spring and Summer, stay tuned for the perfect picnic eats and drinks! Cheers! -L.
