Cozy in Cupcakes and Cashmere

IMG_1495On a rare day with a cloud covered morning, the perfect opportunity to feature this cozy sweater presented itself. During a recent day trip to Santa Barbara, I was excited to find a lone Cupcakes and Cashmere sweater on the rack. Continue reading

Chasing Wildflowers

IMG_0945‘Tis the season for wildflower hunting! This year has brought some pretty amazing scenes around the county. So, when Easter was quickly approaching with no plans set in place, I decided it would be the perfect day for a Sunday drive to chase wildflowers. Continue reading

Stylish Comfort to Big Sur

IMG_9818Living on the Central Coast boasts many benefits. One of the best benefits is that it’s a short, beautiful road trip to Big Sur, CA. If you’ve ever been to Big Sur, coming from the North or the South, you know the drive is part of the journey and some of the best finds are stopping for photo ops or beach explorations. Faded Colors

Hi Folks! As the East Coast has endured some intense weather as of late, California has been experiencing it’s own ‘crazy’ weather. It has rained! A bit. We welcome it with open arms and open lens’. The Central Coast is never more beautiful with green hills rolling throughout.  Continue reading

Fair Fun

IMG_8279

Nothing says summer like a trip to your State or local County fair! This past weekend, the California Mid-State Fair wrapped up it’s 69th year running. Although I’ve only attended it the past 4 years, this fair is always a wide-spread, event filled, bag o’ fun! I have tried to make it a point to go every year that I have lived on the Central Coast. Aside from getting a fill of country, boot-wearing fun, it always provides good laughs, plenty of people watching, and special memories. Continue reading

Easter

Happy Easter friends and family! Growing up, Easter always yielded fond memories from sneaking first peaks of any visible eggs I could see out the windows to hopefully one-up my brother in the much-anticipated hunt to wearing pretty, pink, flowery  outfits put together by my mother. I always loved our day of traditional breakfast, Easter egg hunts, Easter basket goodness, and being together enjoying Spring. Continue reading

NPR

Growing up, my parents were big AM Radio listeners. In the car, around the house, while they were going to bed. I used to dislike it very much. I’d always want music – because talk radio was SO boring. However, now that I’ve grown up, I realize how wonderful “talk radio” really is – and how it’s not just all talk.  Continue reading

New Year.

Happy New Year! The Holidays always seem to come and go at such a quick pace. As long as each moment with family and friends is cherished to its full potential, then no matter how quickly Santa and his Reindeer fly by, the Holidays will forever behold loving memories and flourishing spirits.

I am so grateful for all those I was able to see and spend time with, for relaxing days playing cribbage, watching sports, and cooking. Thank you 2012 for all your lessons, memories, adventures, love and laughs. Here’s to the New Year! Cheers!
