I love the styles and clothes that accompany the Holiday Season. Layers, Scarves, boots…..oh my! As much as I adore the palette and styles of Christmas reflecting in my outfits, I enjoy modifying the traditional go-to. One recent night, I had to quickly assemble an outfit for an outdoor party. My goal was comfort and warmth so I sprung for tights, boots and lace. Needing a jacket or coat of some sort, I grabbed a Chambray and actually liked the dumbed down look it provided – especially for outdoors. Since the Chambray was baggy and casual, I decided a big statement necklace would add the perfect accent and sparkle. The Holidays are all about Sparkle…and lipstick. Adding a bright lip really made this last-minute outfit strike my fancy!

(lace, jewels and a bright lip, although pink, can be just as festive as reds and golds. Also, layering can be just as warm and stylish as jackets and scarves)
